MASTERMIND
WHAT IS A MASTERMIND?
The concept was coined by author Napoleon Hill in his books The Law of Success and Think and Grow Rich. Hill talked about the idea of Mastermind Groups – several people coming together in an alliance to solve important problems.
The most famous members of the early Mastermind Groups include Henry Ford, Harvey Firestone, Thomas Edison and Andrew Carnegie.
The aim of a Mastermind Group is for participants to help each other solve problems, create new business opportunities and develop together through mutual input and advice. The driving principle behind a Mastermind Group is the synergy of energy, motivation and commitment, as well as the willingness to learn and grow together.
HOW DO THEY WORK?
Mastermind Groups bring together the exchange of ideas, education, accountability among participants and support to improve professional and personal skills. The group of experts helps each individual member to achieve success. Members challenge each other to set solid goals and – more importantly – to achieve them.
The members meet in pre-scheduled group sessions, taking it in turns to act in the role of coordinator, and all the commitments made are set down in writing.
